Monks Walk 31 January 2009On Saturday, I had the opportunity to investigate Monks Walk, Hampshire again. The investigation started around 9pm with a talk from the current owner in the main hall for the new recruits. As I had previously heard the talk, I went into the back room in the main hall to check on the monitors recording for any activity. I was given carte blanche to work with any team I wanted to and to go wherever I wanted to within the areas. This suited me right down to the ground; it was lovely that the manager of the group trusted me enough to do this, and that she had also included me as part of her team. After the talk, we were split into teams; one team in the ladies gym, another team in the purple room. I went into the room next to the ladies gym which used to be the morgue. I was sat on the chair and I had the sense that I should not have been there; "Get off my chair!". There wasn't an overly comfortable feeling within the room however not enough to make me feel uneasy. The vigil last for 30 minutes where I had also completed an evp experiment which I need to sit down, listen and cleanse. After a short break, we had the chance to have a picture drawn by a psychic artist. I had my photo drawn and it was very interesting! The picture of the person wasn't who I was expecting but I have been given a possible name so I have got some investigating to do. After another break, I completed a solo vigil in the main hall. Comfortable feeling but didn't feel I was alone. I thought I saw shadows walking around left corner near the door. Another short break ensued then we all took part in a seance in the mail hall. The room was naturally cold but by god, did the temperature really drop several times. Definitely brass monkeys!! Several times during the seance, various noises had been heard, and a couple of people within the circle had felt presence of several spirits, and they had the feeling of their hair being touched. Several of us saw dancing lights around a chair that was placed in the middle of the cirle and we did think at one point the chair had moved slightly. Hopefully one of the fellow investigators will check their tape. I had recorded the seance on evp so I'm hoping some of the noises may have been captured. All in all, although I personally felt I hadn't experienced that much paranormally, I really love the location; it's definitely active one of those places I could never tire investigating. Roll on Friday 13th February; I'm going back again, and this time I hope I can complete a solo vigil in one of the gyms which is an area some people do not like.
