Super League XV - A new season for 2010The new Super League season has started and we are in the 15th season already !! Leeds Rhinos finished top of the table in 2009 and beat St Helens at Old Trafford in the Grand Final to become champions. Nobody was relegated last season as they all have a 3 year period where they get to stay in Super League and after that other teams can put in bids to try and get into the elite group. I am looking forward to another good season and no doubt many shock results along the way. Match results will be updated regularly so you can see how your team is doing !! Is the system that teams can bid to be in the Super League rather than having a lower league with promotion prospects?
Yes
Yes, that is how it works now. You get a three year contract to stay in Super League so there is no promotion for the league below.
I think it is unfair really but it is the rules now.
