Hercule Poirot in After the FuneralDavid Suchet is back in the Hercule Poirot season on ITV1 on Sunday 26th March. In After the Funeral, the family of the late Richard Abernethie, a wealthy old man, gather to hear his will when one of the family remarks that he must have been murdered. When she is then murdered, the family solicitor, Mr Entwhistle, calls in Hercule Poirot. The 1963 film, Murder at the Gallop, was loosely based on this story, with Miss Marple played by Margaret Rutherford substituted for Poirot and the action shifted to a riding school.
