American Idol Series 3 News of Top 12 Contestants

Series 3 contestants Top 12 were :-

Whilst many of American Idol Top 12 Finalists from series 4 are busy recording forthcoming albums, several of the series 3 Top 12 Finalists have been busy trading the boards in debut stage or taking up acting roles in films.

Two seasons ago there was a huge outcry when Jennifer “Six octave” Hudson was voted out early on. Great news for her fans though, Jennifer is as busy as ever and currently working on DreamWorks' film version of the '80s Broadway musical “Dreamgirls." She'll play the much-sought-after starring role of Effie White, starring alongside Beyonce Knowles,Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx. Ironically Jennifer beat Fantasia to the part , Fantasia having also auditioned for it. Jennifer's first CD may make it to the shops in January 2007.

Fantasia meanwhile is to star in a film about her own life. Fantasia has seen the publication of what is essentially her autobiography, “Life is not a FairyTale” which she dictated to a freelance writer. Her disclosures include openly admitting that she has literacy problems, and was signing contracts she could neither read or understand.

Fantasia is reported as saying that despite her enjoyment of acting roles her current priority is in recording her second album

Runner up to Fantasia was Diana Degarmo and she too has been finding another string to her bow, appearing as Maria in West Side Story at the American Musical Theatre in San Jose, and also more recently, on Broadway in Hairspray. She visited and entertained troops Abroad, including Iraq and Afghanistan in December last year.

Diana is also currently recording her second album.
