Bo Bice's traumatic year

Bo Bice was series 4 runner up to Carrie Underwood.

Bice signed with RCA less than 24 hours after the "Idol" finale.

Their son Aiden Bice was born in September 2005.

As well as breaking a bone in his foot in August, he also had intestinal surgery also in August and suffered minor complications in September from which he has recovered.

Bo raced to the top of the US BillBoard charts with his version of "Inside Your Heaven" selling 106,000 copies in the first week of its release, compared to Carrie's 130,000 and her second week of 76,000.

His first album, "The Real Thing", was released in November 2005.
