Serena Williams prepares for comeback

Former world no 1 Serena Williams has not played on the WTA tour since losing in the third round of the Australian open. She has missed both the French Open and Wimbledon becuse of the same left knee injury.

Apparently she has accepted a wild card entry to next week's Cincinnati Open hard-court tournament, in her bid to recover from the injury in time for the US Open which takes place in August.

She is currently ranked no 140 in the world, and has only played four matches in the last 10 months.
