Boris: The Rise of Boris Johnson

Andrew Gimson has just written the biography of Boris the Buffoon.

I once saw a mop of yellow hair walking across Hampstead Heath with a family in toe. No need to see the face to know what was underneath the mop.

As he passed by the others in the park, heads were scratched as people asked: "It's that bloke. What's his name?"

Surely he's no famous enough for any one to bother writing his biography. Or for anyone to buy it.

But Boris Johnson reportedly offered Gimson £100,000 not to write the book. So presumably Boris thinks someone will buy it.

In the book we learn that as soon as Boris was out of short trousers he was into sloth, deceit, manipulativeness, selfishness, irresponsibility, concupiscence and a bit later on, adultery.

No wonder he became a politician.
