St Helens gain 2 BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards

St Helens claimed the 'Team of the Year' in the 2006 BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Radio 5 Live listeners voted them the best team.

Daniel Anderson also scooped 'Coach of the Year' in the awards ceremony.

This capped a fruitful year for the Saints who topped the Super League XI table, won the Super League Grand Final and also won the Challenge Cup.

With Super League XII fast approaching, St Helens will be looking to equal their treble-winning year.
