Dance x – Saturday 28th July – 1st live show!

The first of the live shows opened with a hot and fiery group dance to Livin la vida loca! The pressure was most definitely on tonight as the team with the lowest amount of public votes would have to lose a team member!

Arlene seemed to be extremely pleased with her team members that she picked last week saying that they all had their own strengths. Her team danced first and although Arlene said that they captured everything she did seem disappeared with a few of them for forgetting some moves! Bruno commented saying that they just didn’t work the diva moments when they were there.

Bruno was also happy with his team saying: “I got what I wanted and it’s faaaabulous!” Team Bruno then followed with a latin dance. Marcquelle got a lot of attention, receiving both praise and criticism. The group were told that they really have to be right on the choreography.

A great team spirit was shown within Arlene’s team and the members seem to have bonded extremely well in the week to form some very special friendships! Team Arlene then performed a song with Emanuel taking the lead vocal. Bruno’s vocal coach criticised his opening notes saying that a lead man must always be in tune and Kalvin was praise for nailing the harmony which he had struggled with during the week.

Bruno’s team seem to struggle with the team building and there appeared to be a lot of tension between certain members of the team. Claire took the vocal lead in their song and proved a very valuable member to Bruno’s team. Their vocal coach told them that she was so proud but Arlene criticised Claire for not even being able to walk in time!

The groups then had a final chance to prove themselves having a final dancing and singing routine to perform. We saw some different members of Arlene’s team take more of a lead part and Arlene said that they ERALLY looked like a group! Bruno’s group followed and he said they were slick and sexy!

So, with them all having performed the moment of truth had arrived! Arlene’s team received the most amount of public votes meaning that they could keep all their team members! Bruno however had a hard decision to make having to send one of his team members home.
He saved Marie first saying: “You lived up to MORE than I expected!”
Marcquelle, “You are the heart and the soul of the group!”
Phoenix, “the rock of the group”
Rana, “You proved you can do it… you’re in!”
Claire, “I need my strong voice.”
This left Daniele and Becky to dance again for the final place in Bruno’s team. Bruno claimed that they didn’t stand out as much as the others. After performing it was decision time for Bruno and he decided to send Becky home.

Bruno’s team were obviously upset with their loss but they must come back fighting as a team of 6 next week in attempt to get revenge against Arlene’s team!
