Great Britain v New Zealand - 2007 Test Series match resultsGreat Britain won their first Test Series in 14 years after defeating New Zealand. 3 matches are played but GB have won the first two to seal their victory. The first match was played at the Galpharm Stadium, home to Huddersfield Giants, and the score was 20-14. The second match was played at Hull FC's ground, the KC stadium. Great Britain won that by a resounding 44-0. The final test match will be played at the JJB Stadium, home to Wigan Warriors, on Saturday 10th November. Tony Smith, the GB coach, is planning on giving some of the players who haven't played so far some match time. This Series is being played as a warm up for both squads as they prepare for the 2008 World Cup series, which will feature Australia. The Aussies will be the team to beat and will no doubt not be the pushovers that New Zealand have seemed to have been so far. I don't know what it is about the British though! We win something and everyone goes on about New Zealand playing poorly. WE WON!! End of! Honestly, those lads have played their hearts out so far and deserve credit were credit is due. They played well, defended well and attacked well too. Well done to them I say! The media also reported at one point that Great Britain did really well to defeat the All Black's. Not likely really as they are two different codes altogether!! Maybe if Mr Wilkinson decides he wants to play League we will get the decent coverage we deserve. And pigs might fly........
