ManifestationsIt is believed there are 4 stages of the manifestation of a ghost. 1) Orb - ball of light which can either appear as a flash or solid, usually white or blue and rarely seen with the naked eye. 2) Energy vortex - may appear as cylindrical tubes/coils and again, rarely seen with the naked eye. 3) Ectoplasm - has gained enough energy to be able to appear more 'physical'. More likely to smell scents, hear knocks and feel breezes as well. 4) Full manifestation - the spirit has enough energy to be able to show itself fully but not always seen with the naked eye though may appear on cameras.

Ghost
How many ghosts do you think there are in the UK?
Will every dead person have their own ghost? And what do they do?
I have no idea of how many

Will every dead person have their own ghost? I personally don't think so as hauntings tend to happen for various reasons:-
1) Some 'spirits' may not know they are actually dead so stay in familiar surroundings
2) Some stay because they may have 'unfinished business
3) Some stay because they are 'attached' to areas/things and don't seem to be able to let go
4) Residual energy - spirit is not aware of the time and space and the energy leaves an imprint which gets replayed
5) Too scared to cross over
Haunting tend to mainly be in 2 categories - Active or Intelligent and Residual.
Thanks
I used to live in a town with a very narrow lane which was supposed to be haunted by a ghost - some say of a person who was locked inside a room and left there.
There was also a field with the old gibbet pole still there after hundreds of years. The skeleton of the last person to hang there was still in a nearby museum.
I never saw any ghosts though!
