Super League XIII - Dwain Chambers set to sign for Castleford Tigers?

The rumour mill is awash with the story that disgraced sprinter Dwain Chambers is to quit athletics and turn his hand to rugby league.

The 29 year old has never even played the sport before but Castleford Tigers are said to be prepared to offer him a chance to try out for them. I personally think it is a publicity stunt for all concerned and that nothing will come of it eventually, but you never know.

I just can't see how someone of his age, with no rugby league experience at all, can be expected to pick up the game and be good at it. I may be cynical but until he is announced in the Castleford squad I will keep the opinion that it is all a major ploy to gain publicity for both parties.
