Paul Cullen parts company with Warrington Wolves - 27/05/08

Paul Cullen has left Warrington Wolves by 'mutual consent' after a string of negative results, topped off by a defeat by bottom of the table club Castleford Tigers.

Cullen's job had hung in the balance for a few weeks, and it was a case of him leaving before he was pushed after a sit down protest by the fans who refused to leave the stadium after the Tigers' defeat.

After 5 and a half years as the Warrington Wolves coach he spent money on good players but never brought home any silverware.

Cullen is the second Coach to lose his job this season, following the departure of Peter Sharp from Hull FC and probably won't be the last.
