England team for second match against New Zealand shows 6 changes

England have reacted to their thumping by the All Blacks by making six changes, five in the backs, for Saturday's second Test in Christchurch.

The team is:

Mathew Tait (Newcastle); Topsy Ojo (London Irish), Mike Tindall (Gloucester), Jamie Noon (Newcastle), Tom Varndell (Leicester); Toby Flood (Leicester), Danny Care (Harlequins); Tim Payne (Wasps), Lee Mears (Bath), Matt Stevens (Bath), Tom Palmer (Wasps), Steve Borthwick (Bath, captain), James Haskell (Wasps), Tom Rees (Wasps), Luke Narraway (Gloucester).
Replacements: Jason Hobson (Bristol), David Paice (London Irish), Ben Kay (Leicester), Joe Worsley (Wasps), Peter Richards (London Irish), Olly Barkley (Bath), David Strettle (Harlequins).

Both half backs have paid the price for a static performance behind the scrum with Charlie Hodgson also having the problem of his weak tackling hanging over him.

Meanwhile New Zealand have made four changes to their team.
