BewitchedBewitched is a comedy tv show from the US which ran for 8 years during the late 60s starring Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha. Samantha, a witch, marries advertising executive Darrin Stephens who happens to be a mortal, and despite her promise not to use her magic powers, she does sometimes use them to help Darren and her out. Samantha's mother, Endora, disapproves of the marriage and won't accept Darrin as her mortal son-in-law. Endora does not succeed in splitting up Darrin and Samantha, despite Darrin being on the receiving end of numerous spells. Other comedic moments are provided by their neighbour Gladys Kravitz. She has her suspicions about Samantha and her powers but never is able to prove them to her husband, Abner. I really love this show; it's just so funny. My favourite character is Endora because she is always getting up to mischief. The show was made into a film back in 2005 starring Nicole Kidman as Samantha but in typical fashion, it was a case of leaving well alone imo.

Super programme.
Apart from Endora my favourite character was the scatty aunt who usually got the spells wrong (but I can't remember her name) It was a big mistake making the film as this programme really lent itself to individual half hour episodes.

I agree with you about the film though; they shouldn't have remade it as somethings just should not be done; the film was gash.
