Monks Walk 19 July 2008Saturday night I has the opportunity to investigate Monks Walk again. I visited the location a couple of weeks ago but that was just for the evening. This time, this was an overnighter and I was really looking forward to it. The buildings are very small of which one area dates back to the Crimean War and another back to the end of WWI (1918). The investigation began at 10pm where we had a talk from the current owner. After the talk, we were given a tour around the woods outside the grounds! Despite the darkness, the woods had a generally nice feel about them although I did get the feeling we were being watched (not in any horrible way). One sensitive sensed a man by a particular bush. Apparently we were later told this man had tried to slit himself and when he realised what he had done, he tried to make his way back to the base but he died in a field. When we got back to the location and after a break, we split into groups and completed vigils. After the break, we all gathered in the main hall and took part in a seance. Quite an interesting seance as some people thought they had been touched, and one lady felt very emotional and broke down into tears. We completed several seances, one with just women and another with just the men. As always, it was great to have had the opportunity to investigate Monks Walk and I hope one day to be able to return there as I do believe the location is fairly active. I didn't get any interesting photos from the investigation however I still have evps and camcorder to check in due course. Fingers crossed, activity has been caught!

That really sounds scary. I
That really sounds scary. I certainly won't be trying anything like that in the future.
But it must be very interesting if you dare to do it!
I guess it depends on
I guess it depends on whether you believe in the paranormal or not. I'm a sceptical believer and believe most things can be explained through science although there will be those times when I just can't explain situations! I'm also a great believer in the power of the mind as well as I firmly believe there is a lot about the human mind yet to be discovered.
