The Apprentice - defeat from the jaws of victory

Christopher Foyle duly solved the final murder in Hastings during the war - and packed his bags for retirement.

ITV1 continued the interrupted screening of the final series of Foyle's War last night, picking up an audience of 7.1 million.

The final episode of Lewis written by Paul Rutman was probably the best of the series.

This blog is dedicated to bringing you the latest news for the Grand National and the build up to the great race as we go through the season.

One of the characters in this episode of Lewis was called Richard Helm, a name similar to that of an infamous CIA director. And so episode was about spies - or at least Stasi agents.

ITV1 started its run of the second series of Lewis with And the Moonbeams Kiss the Sea. The second series has four episodes, one more than the first series.

Julia McKenzie is ITV's new Miss Marple. McKenzie is 66 and played Mrs Forrester in the BBC costume drama Cranford as Mrs Forrester. She replaces Geraldine McEwan in the role.

Channel M's weekly Rugby League show, Code XIII, is set to return for a third season.

Geraldine McEwan announced her retirement from the role of Miss Marple today.

McEwan has played Agatha Christie's Jane Marple since ITV1 brought her back in 2003 and starred in twelve TV films.
