Dahi Wali Gawar Ki Phali | Cluster Beans Recipe | Gawar Sabzi Recipe In Hindi

Namsate. My name is Neelima Mittal Cluster Beans (Gawar ki Phali) This is a sesonal vegetable and tastes good It is easy to make as well You need to wash and cut them as I will just explain before making them Once that is done it hardly takes any time to make I will show you how to peel it This is the thick side that we need to peel This is the thin side, we don’t need to work on it Keep the thin side up and thick side down Break off the edge as it is dirty You can break them in any size Break from top and pull upwards so that the hard part remains attached to the main bean Pull the hard part separately and discard it Beans are now peeled You can cut them with knife if you prefer that Ingredients Cluster Beans – 250 grams Curd – 1 table spoon Fennel Seed Powder – 1/2 tsp Carom seed – 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tspp Coriander Seed Powder – 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp Asafoetida – a pinch Oil We will make it in Pressure Cooker as it tastes good in it Switch on the gas Oil – 1 table spoon Let it get warm It is made with Mustard seeds as well but I prefer Carom Seeds Add Carom Seeds Sauté Let it warm a bit Asafoetida – a pinch We will add other ingredients once Carom seeds start to splutter a bit It is spluttering now so we will add other spices Turmeric Powder Coriander Seed Powder Lower the flame Fennel Seed Powder Red Chili Powder Mix these You can add Red Chili Powder as per your taste Cluster Beans (Gawar Ki Phali) Mix everything Sauthé it a bit and then we will sprinkle some water Then we will add salt and close the lid Salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste We will add curd once they are cooked We don’t have to do much now Add 1 tbsp water andd mix Tighten the lid If the beans had been washed sometime back, you need to add a little water (like we did) This is because the beans are very dry and we need moisture to cook them If they have been washed just before cooking, then they may have some moisture You need to check while making if they need a little water (not more than 1 table spoon) We will lower the flame when the whistle is about to blow Do not let the whistle blow We lowered the flame just when the whistle was about to blow Kept it on low flame for half a minute and then switched off the gas We will let it cool on it’s own (till there is no steam left in it) We will add curd once we open the cooker It’s been 5 minutes and there is no steam left in cooker Let us open it This is done We will sauté it to evaporate the water Even otherwsie we need to sauté as only then will it taste and smell good Add curd Do not add curd when the dish is very hot Mix well Switch on the gas on low flame It will taste as good as when we make it in a pan/wok after we sauté it In Pressure Cooker it takes much less time and tastes just as good We will keep stirring it in between We do not want excess water in it This is now dry (not completely dry, just a little moist) There is a shine on beans which shows that the dish is made Switch off the gas Now we will serve it It is looking good as such But still if you wish to garnish, then put a slice of tomato on top Do make Dahi Wali Gawar Ki Phali (Cluster Beans made with curd) and share your views with me For many more interesting recipes and tips, you can log on to my YouTube channel or Facebook page
