Japan’s Legendary Taishoken Ramen is Now in California

Taishoken, the legendary Japanese restaurant, pioneered tsukemen-style ramen in 1951. The first U.S. location in downtown San Mateo is the sister restaurant to the original Nakano Taishoken in Japan. This branch is run by Mitsuo and Yoshihiro Sakaguchi, the son and grandson of founder Masayasu Sakaguchi.
